About The Alpha Gate
Welcome to The Alpha Gate, the Stargate: SG-1 fanfiction archive for writers from the lively and active The Alpha Gate Yahoo! group. While our community of writers and readers are mainly Jack/Daniel slash and Team gen fans, we accept fanfiction of all genres and pairings from our members. Our stories range from the events of the Stargate movie to the latest episode of the current season of Stargate SG-1. By choice, The Alpha Gate doesn't include stories from Season 6 or from Stargate: Atlantis.

The Alpha Gate archive is open to all to browse and read stories, but if you'd like the ability to save favorite authors and stories and to be notified of new additions, you can register for an account with us.

If you want to submit a story of your own to The Alpha Gate archive, you'll first need to join one of our contributing Yahoo! groups using the links to the right. Membership is a great way to get in touch with other SG-1 writers, reach readers and get feedback on your writing. Yahoo! lets you choose whether you want to receive list mail or just post story announcements and browse the message archives online.

Once you've joined one of the Yahoo! groups, you're welcome to submit stories here. Check out the help page to learn how to do that, and be sure to read our terms of service and our story submission guidelines.

We are the home of 376 authors from among our 1028 members. There have been 4523 reviews written about our 3882 stories consisting of 4485 chapters and 22810282 words. A special welcome to our newest member, presumedinnocent.

NEW AUTHORS: READ THIS

We continue to see authors submitting fics without heeding our submission rules. If you submit a fic here and aren't a member of one of our Yahoo! groups as described in the rules, your fic will be deleted without being validated. This makes extra work for you and for us.

Also, since some authors register with our Yahoo! group under a different pen name and email address, Authors submitting a fic for the first time to this archive must post an announcement to the Yahoo! group identifying yourself as that author, or email the mods to tell them you are going to post.
